I'm Daniel Costa, a Portuguese landscape photographer based in Sintra, driven by a deep connection with nature and a desire to preserve the extraordinary beauty of our planet.Photography has transformed the way I see the world. It has taught me to slow down, observe, and appreciate the details and fleeting moments that often go unnoticed in everyday life. What began as a way to document the places I visited gradually became something much deeper: a way to connect with nature, find peace, and experience the world with a renewed sense of wonder.I'm drawn to the ever-changing character of the natural world — the light that transforms a landscape, the atmosphere that gives a place its own identity, and the brief moments that may never happen in quite the same way again. Through my images, I seek to preserve these experiences and share the emotions they evoke.My purpose goes beyond photographing beautiful places. I hope my work encourages people to pause, reconnect with nature, and recognise how extraordinary and fragile our planet truly is. In a world where so much demands our attention, I believe nature reminds us of what really matters.Over the years, my work has received recognition in international photography competitions, including distinctions in 2026 across nature, travel, and aerial photography. These achievements encourage me to keep exploring, learning, and sharing my perspective on the natural world.I'm also the founder of LandscapeXplorers, where I share my passion for exploration and help others develop their photography, discover new places, and create lasting memories.For me, photography is a way of preserving moments, sharing experiences, and reminding people of the beauty that surrounds us — beauty that deserves to be appreciated, respected, and protected.

Discover the Dolomites during one of the most atmospheric periods of the year. This eight-day photography tour takes us into the heart of the Italian Alps, where towering limestone peaks, peaceful alpine lakes and mountain forests create an extraordinary setting for landscape photography.As autumn settles over the region, the landscape takes on a different character. Golden larches, muted earth tones and the first signs of winter bring new depth and contrast to the scenery, while changing mountain weather creates ever-evolving opportunities for dramatic images.From the rugged formations of the western Dolomites to the iconic peaks and alpine lakes of the eastern region, we will explore a carefully selected range of locations, making the most of the available light and the conditions each day brings. Sunrise and sunset sessions will be central to the experience, with the flexibility to adapt our plans to the weather and photographic opportunities.With seven nights in the mountains, we will have more time to explore different areas, revisit locations when conditions are promising and immerse ourselves in the unique atmosphere of the Dolomites. This journey is designed to go beyond simply visiting famous places — it is an opportunity to experience the mountains through photography, refine your creative approach and capture the distinctive character of the landscape in autumn.

Join us for an eight-day photographic adventure through the Dolomites, one of Europe's most remarkable mountain regions. Renowned for their distinctive limestone formations, sweeping valleys and striking alpine scenery, these mountains offer endless possibilities for landscape photographers, particularly during the transition from autumn towards winter.Throughout the journey, we will explore a selection of locations across the western and eastern Dolomites, seeking out compelling viewpoints, reflective lakes and mountain landscapes shaped by the changing seasons. From intimate compositions among alpine forests to expansive views of rugged peaks, each location offers a different way to interpret the character of this unique environment.Autumn brings a special atmosphere to the region. Larches turn shades of gold, forests gradually lose their summer colours, and fresh snow may begin to highlight the higher summits. Combined with shifting clouds, mist and the warm tones of sunrise and sunset, these conditions can create exceptional opportunities for expressive and atmospheric landscape images.With eight days and seven nights dedicated to photography, the itinerary allows us to experience a broader range of landscapes while maintaining the flexibility needed in a mountain environment. Our schedule will be built around the photographic potential of each day, prioritising suitable locations according to light, weather and accessibility.
